Alessandra Zerbinati
Alessandra Zerbinati, is an Italian performer and noise artist. Considered one of the most controversial and extreme figures on the Italian scene, her performances are one synthesis of theater, butoh dance, body marking and noise. The civil engagement jobs of her face themes such as abortion, domestic violence, self-harm, death and abandonment through a sound amplification system of the moving body and the use of bizarre instruments by her designed. Contracted muscles, creaking bones, torn skin, voice, blood, pee, vomit, vaginal fluid, saliva the tools that the artist uses to get straight to the conscience of the user by dusting off what remains of the empathy of each individual. In her years, alongside her, historical names such as Alessandro Cellai (Clock DVA and Pankow), Tomas Jarmir (ZU and Motorpsycho), Frank Falestra (producer of Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids). Since 2014 she is part of the collective MUSICA DISPERSA: WOMEN IN EXPERIMENTAL, with which she brings her performance across Europe. Since 2017 she has been at home at ART BASEL: the art week in MIAMI (FL), and at INTERNATIONAL NOISE CONFERENCE in Miami: one of the longest-running and most important noise festivals in the world. Since November 2019 she has been in the Old Europa Cafè stables with a vinyl and a DVD sold out in a few months. In 2020 she flies to Paris: she is among the protagonists of the documentary film on noise "A QUI VEUT BIEN L'ENTENDRE "by French director Jerome Florenville. In the same year, following his participation in the LUFF (Lausanne Underground Film And Music Festival), the television channel ARTE: TV le dedicates an entire interview to the TRACKS broadcast. https://www.instagram.com/alessandra_zerbinati/
Andrea Pensado
After rigorous academic studies as a composer, Andrea Pensado finds herself playing frequently at noise shows and improvising with the most aesthetically diverse musicians. This totally unexpected and joyful turn in her life took place very gradually. Nowadays, Pensado uses voice and electronics to make her music. The approach to both, programming and performance is highly intuitive. The harsh cut up noise result, mixed with the strong emotional component of her music, generate a deeply personal sonic language which often gives rise to intense responses in the most varied audiences.
Pensado performs extensively in the US and abroad. She also produces Sonorium, a series of experimental music based in Salem, MA. More info: http://www.andreapensado.com
Avola
Veronica “Vern” Avola is a composer, multimedia artist, instructor and champion of friendship, born in Italy and based in Portland, Oregon. They founded EMS Records. Avola’s solo sound works uses deep electronic sounds to geomap the hidden layers that also come with a given “present moment”; from the guttural subterranean or the hallways of the earthly punk and DIY culture to consensual abduction and flight. Avola’s compositions hold space for these physical stretches that become emblems of safety when society faces a truth in zero control within a political predestination. In this process Avola brings an ability back to the listener to think and exist outside of man’s algorithm. Avola performs this work internationally and has released several albums on Sige Recordings, An Out Recordings, Accident Prone Records, and Nadine Records. Avola has other collaborative works with Daniel Menche (Bear Spray), Ian Gorman Weiland (Elrond), Vo Vo and Dead (Castlemaine, Australia). They also have a bi-weekly radio show on UK based Repeater Radio. https://verns.world/

Chloe Alexandra Thompson
Chloe Alexandra Thompson is a Canadian sound artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Thompson is an interdisciplinary artist and musician composing works of sonic minimalism that envelope listeners into a state of equilibrium and fill rooms with discrete frequencies. Her work creates spatial sound art composed using audio programming software and acoustic instruments. Focused on live performance and spatial intervention, Thompson engineers multi-channel interplay of psychoacoustics, live-processed field recordings, and isolated frequencies to produce felt effects on the body. Fascinated by digital technology’s seemingly endless possibilities for sound experimentation, Thompson routinely collaborates with other artists to explore new avenues for acoustic and physical environments and experiences. https://www.chloealexandra.info/

Whether he's directing an orchestra using cue cards, fingerprinting six hundred art patrons' middle fingers, or leading a midnight parade -- wearing thirty gallons of water in each pant leg -- these impositions create an intersection between comfort and calamity. It is this junction, the marriage of unlikeable strategies with cocksure optimism, that has become Crank Sturgeon's trademark <ø))~~~§< https://cranksturgeon.com/

Flesh Shuddering
Flesh Shuddering is an up and coming psychedelic cut up harsh noise project by Cruel Symphonies label owner Caleb Crittenden and his rotating cast of characters including Piper Markowski (Amphette) and Andrew Morgan (Ambush). Flesh Shuddering utilizes a unique blend of influences ranging from early musique concrète tape experiments to more modern sonic manipulators such as Negitivland. Flesh Shuddering’s music has been described by Weston Czerkes (Form Hunter, Magnetic Coroner) as “a stereo buffet of audio contrast: piercing highs, crushing lows, effected field recordings, crunching tape loops, broken electronics, and electronics used for breaking. Amidst the chaos there are some ambient tones and breathy gasps that provide some unsettling grounding.” https://cruelsymphonies.bandcamp.com/album/heroin-hooked-hound
Flose
Started in 2017, Flose is the main performance alias of improviser and composer Charles Chatman. Using noise as a bedrock/possibility space, Flose works to extract the complex sonic and affective capacity of nonstandard musical devices and techniques (toy keyboards, prepared lap harp, electric toothbrushes, etc). Flose pieces act as collision points for the sound worlds of noise and non-idiomatic improvisation, postwar concert music, drone, avant-folk, ambient, and extreme metal, highlighting points of resonance and contrast with each other and Chatman’s demure setup. From their intersection and breakdown, an electroacoustic gothic aesthetic emerges, foregrounded in textural curiosity, immersive melancholy, and surprise. https://flosemusic.bandcamp.com/

Harpy
Harpy is the collaboration of cult musical/performance artists Gyna Bootleg (Tinsel Teeth, Sire, Vomitatrix) and Pippi Zornoza (RECTRIX, Bonedust, Vvltvre, Worms in Women and Cattle), who have been pushing at the boundaries of the underground for nearly a quarter of a century. Harpy lends their atmospheric sonic musings and manic vocals to a multi-layered aggression that is both deeply haunted and utterly relentless. The shriek of this mythological creature as it rips your bowels in order to tell your fortune. The manic psychological space of one becoming unhinged. photo credit: Left, Julissa Matheny @r4cc00nluvr, Right, Angie Willcutt @Angiewillcutt https://harpyprovidence.bandcamp.com/

Humanbeast's performances are marked by high-intensity, challenging performance, employing ritualistic practices and marrying challenging, symbolic gesture with throbbing walls of white noise, analog synthesis, the primeval wail of human voice and the cold, distant utterings of computer speech"

Kazumoto Endo
Since the mid-'90s, Japanese noise artist Kazumoto Endo has released albums and EPs under his own name and the alias Killer Bug on noise labels in several countries. Growing up in the '80s, Endo listened to British bands like the Cure and the Smiths, then got turned on to groups such as Pussy Galore and Big Black, and began attending live performances by influential noise bands including Hanatarash and Hijokaidan. Endo was, however, unimpressed with how noise music came across on recordings. He wanted to learn to play something different and so took traditional Bolivian music classes. It was during this time that Endo purchased the first noise record he was impressed by: Merzbow's Cloud Cock 00 Ground. Endo began buying equipment and making noise around 1990, in addition to continuing his Bolivian music classes. Endo began recording in 1994 under the name Killer Bug, with his first 7" released on Sweden's Releasing Eskimo label. He performed and recorded as Killer Bug for a couple of years, but eventually dropped the alias. Although he most often performs in Tokyo, Endo has also performed in the U.S., on tour in late 1995 and early 1997. Under his two recording names, Kazumoto Endo has releases on many noise labels from around the world, including Releasing Eskimo (Sweden), Self Abuse, RRR, Pinch-a-Loaf (U.S.), Alien8 Recordings (Canada), and Freak Animal (Finland).

Matriarch
Matriarch is the alias of Julia Spotts, an artist that has quickly risen to a prominent position in the venerable Western Massachusetts noise scene. Matriarch evokes the tense, fraying electronics of artists like Joe Colley or Francisco Meirino, adding layers of intuitive menace cultivated in the crumbling basements and sheds of the New England underground. Simultaneously refined, grim, and hedonistic, sound art shrouded in a fog of smoke and sweat. Photo by Mike Videopunk https://newforces.bandcamp.com/album/jeffersonville

Taking cues from 1990s noisecore acts such as Sore Throat, Deche-Charge, 7MON, early Meat Shits, etc., Oozing Meat play hundreds of tracks while adding elements of harsh noise, synth loops, 80s horror samples, and industrial trash. The duo have released numerous cassettes on labels like Dead Gods, Hostile 1 Tapes, Fusty Cunt, Chaotic Noise, and Table Scraps with vinyl releases on the near horizon, totaling in thousands of tracks. https://chaoticnoiseproductions.bandcamp.com/album/oozing-meat-intercontinental-graveyard
Radiator Greys
Radiator Greys is the alias of St. Louis-based noise artist Josh Levi. Through the use of samples, tape loops, overblown mixers, and a variety of contact mic’d objects, Levi assembles a melange of damaged and melancholic soundscapes that mirrors the 21st century world around us. Performing in the noise world since 2004, Levi has toured and performed extensively in the Midwest and East Coast. Whether it’s employing swelling synth pads, no input mixer, or literally pulling magnetic tape from a deck, each set jumps from one sonic palette to the next - always remaining rooted in a cinematic sonic detritus that endlessly tumbles in on itself. https://www.joshlevi.net/radiator-greys

Schneider TM is a multidimensional music project, which oscillates extensively between adventurous electronic pop-music and experimental, sometimes improvised freeform music, while occasionally bringing these and other opposing elements together. Since the late 80's, Schneider TM has been active in different musical fields. From 1989 until 1997 he played and sang in adventurous independent rock & pop bands like Hip Young Things and Locust Fudge (both on Glitterhouse Records) before he became more active in electronic music around 1996. Schneider TM is responsible for a couple of experimental electro-freak-pop albums (on City Slang / Mute) including underground-hits like 'Reality Check', 'Frogtoise' and a cover version of a song by The Smiths called 'The Light 3000', a collaboration with Kptmichigan that was hugely acclaimed by the alternative media like John Peel, The Wire etc.. Schneider TM has been credited as one of the main innovators of a music genre called Indietronic or Indietronica. Scot Jenerik (born 1964) is a multidisciplinary artist/instrumentalist, instrument builder, composer and sound engineer. He has performed, lectured and distributed works extensively in the United States, Europe and Japan for over 30 years. He is co-owner of Mobilization Records; has an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute; founded 23five Incorporated (the first non-profit arts organization in the US, dedicated specifically to the development and increased awareness of sound works in the public arena); and co-hosted the No Other Radio Network on KPFA. Mr. Jenerik's explosive performances, incorporating hand built instruments of metal and fire, are infamous both around his home of San Francisco/Portland and throughout the world. Combining elements of Kodo drumming, drone and noise, Jenerik transfers the intensity of physical performance into a throbbing soundscape of rhythms, drones and direct elemental contact. His most recent performances are exploring harmonies and harmonics through the non traditional use of traditional instruments from Turkey and India. Mr. Jenerik’s recent recorded work has been the abstract, non-representational dark ambient project AUME (with Chrome and ex F-Space drummer Aleph Omega). All releases have a hand sculpted physical container which is integral to the work. An example of this is his solo release of an album made from cement that is playable on a turntable and is housed in a handcrafted hardwood box. In addition, his experimental short films have been shown in film festivals internationally. As of October 2019, he has rebooted F-Space (with Ethan Port of Savage Republic). https://scotjenerik.bandcamp.com
